Anyone pull the boss mufflers, and put on the 11/12 GT500s?

They are a little louder but much deeper in tone and rumble. I have been meaning to take another vid like this one now that they have a few thousand more miles. They sound even better. Lots of guys like Borlas or Corsas, but they cost at least twice as much, if not more.

Boss 302 exhaust clip - GT500 mufflers and 3/4" restrictor Plates - YouTube

Awesome sound clip. Thank you. This is the setup I want minus the plates all together. Hopefully I will have my boss by may.

I'm running no plates and the GT500 mufflers. I agree with Ace - not a whole lot louder but the tone is much deeper. I think it sounds pretty much perfect for a street car. No vibration/drone problems, either.

I have a set of 2012 GT500 mufflers waiting to go on. Probably within the next few weeks as the weather clears and I get ready to drive my car again.

I have a set of 2013 GT500 axel backs on the way. Can't wait to put them on. I had a set of the 2011 GT500 axel backs on my 2011 GT/CS. They sounded great.

Are these a straight muffler swap out?

Which mufflers have the dual pipes exiting? I'm sure those require swapping out the rear deflector (although they look really nice).

I like your solution better if it's just a matter of swapping out the mufflers.

You have to swap the valance also. Tousley Ford sells them for $169 plus shipping. I love the look of the dual slash cut tips. Otherwise, yes, straight swapout on the mufflers.

The 2013 mufflers aren't $269. That's for the single tipped 2011-2012. The 2013 mufflers are I think around $225 each from Tousley plus shipping. I bought a take-off set from the market place on this web site. Just watch the GT500 parts for sale here, they pop up every once in a while.

So the 2011/2012 single tip GT500 mufflers do not require changing the valance. Is that correct?

I was going back an forth between the 500's and the roush. I went with the roush , glad I did. Sound very aggressive . Nice deep rumble and about 1/4 size and weight of stockers. I did notice a drone at about 60-65 mph but that was it. If you want louder go w/ roush . A little louder and deeper than stock go with the 500's.
