Anyone have to replace their fuel filler neck/check valve?

Troubleshooting a really bad gas smell.

Upon inspection after dropping my tank my overflow valve spring thing at the end of the filler neck is completely busted off. I thought I had a fuel leak at the top hat (Fore return setup) because it was only occurring when the tank was completely full.

Can anyone confirm this could be causing my problem?

If so, anyone know where I could get one cheap? I think you have to replace the entire filler neck and not just the spring.

I can imagine any broken fuel tank part could cause a fuel smell.
