I recently installed Wilwood 4 piston front brakes with 2 piece rotors, along with rear SS lines.

I have bled everything including the MC several times, and see NO air bubbles.

My problem is when I go, say 40 mph and jump on the brakes, my pedal goes STRAIGHT to the floor, touch it quickly twice more, and I have full, firm braking power. Very scary.

At no point did the MC run dry, the lines were capped as soon as the system was opened.

Of course this problem did not exist before I opened it.

Any thoughts?

you need to bleed the master cylinder after it has sat overnight. You have air in the system which is impossibly to get out if you bleed the wheels first.

Well, I figured it out. The holes for the wheel studs in the rotor hats were not large enough and were not sitting flush against the hub.

I was experiencing piston knockback. Drilled out the holes (that was fun on $600 rotors), and all is well.

These Wilwood forged alum. calipers grab like a mother! Better than my Stoptechs, I think.

Thanks for the replies. Fortunately I have had no bleeding issues.
