American Muscle wheels peeling??

I bought a couple 17x10.5 chrome wheels about 2 years ago and theyve been perfect up until now. Car sits in a climate control garage and the whole inside has black spots like mold and Ive always kept wheel wax on them. I tried using car soap to scrub it off and now its just peeling all over the inside. My oem stockers up front are perfect. Anyone else had this happen?

i hate to say it but you get what you pay for... that is why i stick with import wheels.

I've had the same happen to my Wheel Replicas wheels. After about 6 months they started to fade and peel, now they look absolutely horrible. I traded them to my friend who is going to get them powdercoated.

I just did it on my stock Z wheels and they came out awesome. The coating on the inside of the wheels is known tobreak down over time even on OEM wheels

Nope no peeling here, IMO American Muscle has some of the best aftermarket wheels out there :shrug: sorry to hear this OP.
