Sleep cycle is a great alarm clock app for your iPhone.

I use it and im a deep sleeper. I sleep through anything...even my own screaming children:dw:

Bright light tends to wake me up. I have my bed set up so the rising sun screams through the window in my face.

You could try an interrogation spotlight aimed at your pillow and hooked to a timed outlet.

I have the same thing happen to me if I get called in late at night and get back in the bed with only a few hours until time to get up again. I suppose it's because I'm just so friggin exhausted. Anyway, I bought one of the old timey alarm clocks with the two bells and the little vibrating hammer in the middle. You know the type. That thing will wake the dead, it's cheap too.

My cellphone is my alarm, its pretty loud too. I go in at 1:30AM most of the week.
