You all knew him as Hans, my generation knows him as Professor Snape.

He always knew exactly what page to turn to..

Like most, I loved his performances in Die Hard, Dogma, Robin Hood, Harry Potter, Galaxy Quest...and, of course...the voice of Marvin the Depressed Robot ("Well...I'm not going to like it"). Since he died, I've read about a lot of other work he's done ...which I will check out. His dry sarcasm and ironic wit always cracked me up.

I can picture him and Bowie - another quick witted Brit - laughing like Hell together in A Better Place.

one of my favorite actors. He played the villain so well and convincingly. One of the best at what he did. RIP Alan! :beer: Die Hard and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves were my 2 favorites with him in it.
