airbag sensor location?

on the 03 cobra, where is/are the airbag sensor(s) located. i have the ford service DVDs, but can't seem to find where they are.

anyone?

do they have to be replaced after firing.?

"The SRS (supplamental restraint system) contains two sensors which are integral to the RCM (restraints control module). The RCM is mounted on the center tunnel under the instrument panel."

Page 501-20B-3 in my Helm Guide.

"The RCM signals the inflators to deploy the air bags in the event of a deployable crash." I'm guessing it has some type of inertia switch that trips in the event of a crash.

Yes they have to be replaced after firing.

no, no, no...didn't crash :)

need to replace just the sensors....long story, don't ask.! lol.

but WHERE are the sensors??? what do they look like? do i replace them once they've gone off..

the ford DVD talks about some J weld nuts....WHAT!?!?! hehehe

wait, i just re-read what you wrote....so the sensors are INSIDE the RCM??? hm....not sure if i believe that.....really!?!? ford making an inertia sensor in a cobra.....hm....

that's a separate inertia switch.....in the back....and that's a cheapy.... lol...
