Air Fuel Ratio concerns

Hello everyone,

Whoever has installed a 13-5 or equivalent tune I am looking for some advice on air fuel ratios.

I did not put pulleys on. My mods are basically:

JLT Big Air
FRPP dual 65mm TB
NGK TR6 (gapped .028)
MRT Off road pipe (cat delete)
SCT X4 Lund Tune

I need to be sure I am ok as we all know running to lean is very very concerning.

I know 14.6 is the perfect situation however I data logged this weekend based on three scenarios. Idle, Neutral Rev and Cruise.

I am not a professional at reading the SCT live link data, but when looking at my A/F I am assuming the average column would give me an idea as to what is happening most of the time.

At idle and Neutral data logging I am around the 14.6 mark. However during cruise my average is way higher at around 17+

Anybody out there on this great Sunday that has helpful advice?

Thanks guys.

What do you see on your wideband on your dash? If you're seeing between 13.8 to 14.5 your good.

Are you talking about the air / fuel ratio digital gauge?

Mine bounces all the time all over the places its near impossible to get a reading, I thought this was normal???

Hey gtcs,

I am right around where you stated on my dash.

However I data logged with the SCT tuner and with SCT live link and am showing way different values than what is on the dash.

Thanks for letting me know what you see though. At least my car gauge is doing the same as yours.

Have you ever data logged with your tuner yet?

You should be most concerned with WOT a/f, where is that?
WOT pull in 4th with mail-order tune from Lund was 10.9 on the dash guage.
He also gave me my baseline full mod tune at the track and I datalogged it on a back road near the track and its very safe at 10.8 at WOT.
I would recommend sending your logs to Lund and just listen to his advice.
The free advice here is worth what you pay for it :) (we can't see the logs/know the full details)
Good luck.

I have, but I only checked my WOT A/Fs and they were 10.5, send your log to Lund and see what they say,

Ideally you want to see about 11.2 a/f ratio when under boost, under load. (naturally aspirated would be 12.5-13.0 pending app and mods)

cruising around light throttle and idle. 14.0-14.5 a/f Ratio

this is on Pump gas

I agree with biminiLX, your tuner is your best bet on getting a correct answer...we are all speculating without having data logs to read.
