I hear from a friend that adding around 1 - 3 ounces to your gas tank can increase your gas mileage. I dont trust it, and it is said to degrade plastics. Also since we all run higher octane gas, i dont even think it would work as good.(according to this article)

Smart people, have at it. Dangerous and not worth it, or possible increase?

its true but you cant just throw acetone in there you have to mix it with other things i believe torco is in a sense just painter thinner with additives.

Acetone dissolves almost all seals, rubber, and plastics

Adding something to you gas could void your warranty if you still have one. That is, if there is a problem and they detect the additive. I know a lot of people add octane booster, but even that is not warranty friendly. But heck, many/most here are probably beyond worrying about the warranty. LOL!

Unless its gonna give you like an extra 100 miles to the gallon, there is no way in Hell I would even think about it. Even then, thats probably all I would do....think about it for about 2 seconds. No freakin way.
