I have been using the Mobil 1 syn. 5w20 and the only problem is that Costco doesn't sell this grade of mobile one so im stuck wish paying the premium for it.

Is there any other grade of Mobile 1 you guys use? maybe 10w30 or something maybe a little thicker that Costco sells?

Obviously, in the end my main concern is what is best for my car though.

Thanks..

Most folks run 5w-30 oil in their Terminators. Supposedly, the 5w-20 factory recommendation was the corporate edict from Ford in order to pass governmental requirements for fleet gas mileage. Thinner oil = less friction = better gas mileage = more internal wear on moving engine parts.

Castrol Syntech 0W30 (German Formula) worked very well for my Terminator when I owned it. Yes, it costs a bit more, but it is worth it, especially when you look at motor replacement costs in the Terminators.
