i am replacing my oilfilter adapter and cooler with the non cooled one on my 98 GT because i stripped the oil filter bolt and cannot find another anywhere not even ford. i noticed in every pic the oil pressure sending unit has a different type of connection then the oilcooler one. the one on my car is the boot type push on. on the non cooler one it seems to have a thicker longer connection that takes a connection with a tab snap on when pushed in place. will i need to change the connection on my wires to fit the new adapter oil pressure sending unit? also what if i just leave it unplugged will that affect the car at all? or does it just read the oil pressure on the guage???
