does the oil presssure sending unit just meassure oil pressure or does that connection affect the car if left unplugged? im switching my oilcooler with the non cooled adapter and the connection is different on the adapters.

i needed to replace the o ring on my adapter due to a oil leak on my 98 GT. i didnt have the 12mm allen to remove the bolt so i used visegrips i stripped the bolt and now my oil filter will no longer screw on. does anyone know what that bolt is called that the oil filter screws onto? i cannot...
