97 Cobra plugs change

I'm about to install this 97 Cobra motor in another car. It ran great...but I wanna change the plugs. I didn't change plugs on this 2V motor I had because I was afraid of them blowing out....sure enough one blew out anyways. I read this happening in about every 2V Mustang. But, does it happen in the 4V heads too?

Are the 96-98 Cobra heads 3-4 threads just like the 99-04 2V heads? Any help is appreciated.

93-98 heads have 4-5 threads. Spark plugs blowing out does not happen to everyone. Just make sure you don't over or under torque the plugs and use some anti-sieze on the threads.

Agreed, make sure the motor is cold when removing them.
