i have 17 ' bullit wheels with a 315 nitto 555 and i have plenty of room by the bracket and the irs mounting bolt but the inside of the wheel is hitting the spindle where the toe link
mounts ... im going to grind a little off for clearance but has anyone seen or had this problem?

I haven't heard of this problem before. I know a few guys that did grind it down so that 15's would work in the rear.

17" wheels should not hit the knuckle OR toe link connection. Please post pics. However, you will need to grind the knuckle attachment point for the toe link if you want to run a 16" wheel.

FWIW
