88 Saleen # 605 For Sale!!

Ok so i posted some pics up a week or so back showing off my buddies new car that he bought he now has to sell the car for some personal reasons that came up, so i told him before he puts it back up on craigslist let me see if any of the guys on the forum arr interested in it!

Its a 1988 Saleen #605 Build date 6-30-88
85,xxx Miles
Mods
Novi 2000
Cam
Upper and lower intake
After market radiator
Car was built by Dez Racing
Car mad 356 rwhp
Couple other things done to the car!

He is looking to get $7500 for the car or best offer! I have seen several of these Saleens for sale on other sites for $8,000+ with higher mileage and a few of them with pretty close to the same mods! Let me know what you think?

He many also take trades for a truck or four door car.....

so it was on CL for little while and no one bit at 6500 ...so your buddy buys it and is trying to pawn it off on here for 7500 ???is he OK

if your seeing other cars for same amount look to see if they have all the saleen parts ...all this car looks like is a LX with saleen body kit

I remember this car on CL. The Saleens going for this money are true Saleens. They have the real Saleen interior, exterior, wheels, etc. This car is far from that. Unfortunately your friend has a plain jane fox body w/ a body kit, decals and cheap suspension upgrades. What makes it a Saleen other than the VIN # right now? I know the guy you bought it from told you it was "all there", but the car is far from all there to be a true Saleen. Think about it, if a real Saleen goes for $8000 w/ all the Saleen parts, why would someone pay $6500 for this one w/o the real Saleen interior or wheels?

haha i get where ya coming from but just becuase it doesnt have the Saleen wheels, interior or a untouched motor makes it a fake Saleen? I understand the car is far from being a stock Saleen but its still a real Saleen with or with out the interior, wheels! Hes just trying to get what he paid for it and be done with it so if you know someone who might be interested in picking it up for $6,000 or so let me kno

Theres Saleens or on other websites with 90k+ on the motor some with full interiors some with a little motor work done for $9,000 and up! There is one with a full interior all stock with 75k on it just sold a mouth or so ago for $11,500!

It needs a steering rack i believe and hes in the process of having it replaced! Im just trying to sell the car for the kid he paid $6,000 for it so i figured if i put it up here for $6,000 someone is obv going to offer him less! Thats why i put it up here for a little more!

gtmustang00-it has the factory decals on it when i called Saleen they told me the car wasnt shipped with the decals on the car so the dealer put them on! The carfax is clean on it no accidents or nothing but a couple body panels could line up a little bit better than they do now so the car could have been in a accident in the past im not sure! The car has the factory race craft Saleen suspension!

FromGTtoSVT- Your tellng me that im trying to pawn it off as a real Saleen? I called Saleen gave them the VIN number they verified everything #605 build date was 6-30-1988 car had blue decals in the trunk not on the car, car had white wheels, and a grey interior what else would you like me to do for it to be a real Saleen?? Car has the placks and all to prove it am i missing something here??

No dont put snake emblems on it, put some lightning emblems on it then sell it!
