I'd say the list of cars that aren't worth what they fetch is pretty damn long right now lol
No kidding.
I sold my ACR last year thinking that $82k would be the absolute top of the market...well, now it's probably an $87-95k car.

Go look at how much old IBM PC XT's sell for. We had a Hercules Graphics Card that could do monochrome graphics. It's going for $299 on Ebay.Crazy.
Sorry 03/04 guys, these cars are not worth that. lol

I bet we'll see 03/04 Terminators selling for over $100,000 in the future.

It is a Ford, so that isn't surprising given the poor build quality on the cobrasMaybe I’m mistaken, but do the pedals look rusty? If so, all the metal in the dash would be rusty too.
3 days to go. Still at $54,297.
Yeah. And I guess a convertible top is more susceptible to moisture in the interior. Guess that doesn’t matter when someone is willing to pay $60k for a 17yo car.It is a Ford, so that isn't surprising given the poor build quality on the cobras

the viper market is odd. I feel like there will be an adjustment at some point in the coming year but ACRs will likely continue to move up in value. In its favor is it being a limited production vehicle and a close segment of owners who work to help prop up pricing.
I want one but with most Gen Vs crossing into the 100k range I just don’t know if I personally feel it’s worth that. Then again at least resale looks good.
EXACTLY. a buddy of mine bought a 3k mile 99 Lightning off bat last year. hes about 5k into it so far, hasn't done a single mod yet. the first time we took it out on a cruise, upper rad hose. dead. air intake tube, dead. and EGR stuck open for the CEL win! id rather buy a 140k mile cobra with years of records and even mods before a museum piece like that. unless that your thing, to spend 50k on garage art.Wouldn't even want it as every seal and gasket needs to be replaced and maybe even most of the plastic pieces in Transmission, suspension, and engine. A total waste of a vehicle there.
Yea it’s wild, at 140k I’m having a hard time debating the viper or a Porsche GT3Insane. I remember a couple of years ago you could buy a TA for $80k....now they're $140k.
I kind of doubt it unless a true miracle happens and they start building cars like that again. And the dollar is also only going to get weaker so I wont be surprised if they still just go up morethe viper market is odd.
