6th gear

Are you able to shift into 6th gear without the car running?

yes, there is no lockout. All gears should be accessible.

If you can't shift into gear with the engine off it's like an internal issue in the transmission. I had this happen to me - roll pin wallowed out.

pull up on the clutch pedal and the factory adjuster might or might not move to the next adjustment
