I started this build in August of 2011. I bought the car out of TN. It's a c-code fastback 289 auto car. No bolt will be left untouched.

Since I've started on the car I have continously found things the previous owner didn't do correctly.

1. First off he had 302 EFI swap half completed from an 89 donor car and only had about half the parts.
2. both quarters were replaced with half quarters which were overlapped, spot welded in, and each side of the car was built up with a half inch of bondo.
3. both front frame rails under the car were beat up and patched.
4. torque box on driver's side was showing signs of rust
5. bottom of drivers door was patched incorrectly
6. Poor job on installing a floor.

just a few of the big things, but I guess thats nothing a lttlie elbow grease and a wheelbarrow of money wont fix.

Here's a little rundown on the parts list and features to be included in this build
-Rod & Custom Front Suspension
-Heidts Coilover Rear 4 Link
-Built ford 9 inch (3.50 gear and Posi)
-4 wheel Willwood disc brakes
-Mustangs to Fear Eleanor Body Kit
-Shelby VN427 Wheels 17x8 and 17x9.5 rear
-Full Custom Mustangs to Fear Interior
-Rollbar
-Procar Elite Seats
-Power Windows
-Modern OLD AIR Electronic A/C
-Rack and Pinion Power Steering
-Willwood Power Brakes
-LED Taillights
-HID Headlights
-GPS Lo Jack
-Smoked Glass Windows

The Drive Train Build is...
-Keith Craft 408w
-Shelby Engines/AFR 205 Heads
-BBK 1 3/4 Long tubes
-Custom Stainless Works side exit exhaust
-FAST EFI
-Concept One Serpentine system
-TKO 600 (hydraulic clutch)
-Aluminum driveshaft
-MTF 20 Gallon EFI fuel tank

Here's a few pics of when i bought it...

The first plans for the car were to install a Rod & Custom Motorsport front end and slick engine panels. They turned out like this...

Next we installed a 69 floor with custom subframe connectors welded from front to back in the floor. The reason for using the 69 floor is because the tranny tunnel is slightly bigger and the shifter hole is in the correct place for a TKO 600 tranny. The seat risers are also 1 inch shorter giving you more headroom in the car. We also replaced the driverside torque box, added a passenger side torque box, and moved the gas filler tube from between the taillights to the driver side of the car.

Sent the car to be acid dipped. Found more problems after we got it back. We replaced steel dash and the quarter panels.

Painted the engine bay. The color is Nissan GTR Titanium Grey Metallic with a lil more metallic in it.

Here's a comparison between the the stock color and the color i am using. The brighter color is the factory color.

Bed Lined the bottom of the car, bent some tubing, and ran the fuel lines away from the driveshaft as it is from the factory. Recipe for disaster there.

The picture of the tubing running under the car looks like the tubing is crooked as crap. I'll take some more pics later. I assure you I would not run a piece of tubing that looks that bad.

Now we are up to date on 4/24/2013. All the suspension is installed but not yet setup. Need all the weight on the car to be able to set it up correctly. But here she sits...

Thanks guys. We had a hail storm about a month ago and now the paint guy has stopped working on it so they can work on the hail damage cars. They estimated another 4 months until they can get back on my car so idecided im going to get the car and take it home.

I should be recieving the engine from keith craft in a few weeks so I'll probably start test fitting engine and maybe even get it running. That'd be a good feeling for once.

Good choice on the motor. I too have a Keith Craft 408, which cranked out nearly identical numbers.

Sucks you car had such a nightmare hiding in the sheet metal. But, kudos to sticking with it, and making it right.

What are you running for a clutch setup with your TKO-600? I'm have a hydraulic setup for mine from Modern Driveline, with an external Slave Cyl.

Looking good! I hate it when people build a restomod and skip a lot of the little details. You are definitely doing it right!

I am running the same hydraulic clutch setup from modern driveline.
