So I stumbled upon this C&L intake from American Muscle and it shows that there are curve gains of 57 hp with this intake and tune. Now I can see 20 or 30hp with intake plus tune, but almost 60hp?!! Looking at the graph you can see the stock tune takes a dip in the midrange real bad. I know they're probably running 87 gas but can that account for such a bad drop? Is it torque management, timing, etc. ? I'm just wondering what can make the coyote pull power like that?

Also in one of their bolt on build up they had a '13 Shelby that did the same thing: (2:50)

You can hear the guy say that it was the throttle blade closing and that their tune would fix this. Could this be happening on the coyotes too?
