Im trying to figure out which are better for a street driven cobra with no track or drag racing. Obviously the 51's are going to spool up lightning fast and probably a decent amount faster than then 57's but what are the power ratings for each set? What are average power on 93 octane for either setup?

perfect, thats what im looking for. Is that 22lbs on 93 or a mix or 93 and racegas?

Speaking of which. What ratio of Race gas + 93 do you have to mix for everything to be safe? 1/2 and 1/2 or 3/4 93 and 1/4 race? I wanna know so that im safe when pounding through some gears?

all depends on what race gas you purchase, something like 22 lbs probably would only need an octane of around 105 to be street safe. so whatever mix ratio that puts you at should be good, of course, more octane wont hurt the engine, used more for a safety caution

Im not sure the octane of our local Race Gas Station. But i think 105...i doubt they have 116. But i could be wrong? Isnt 116 like $5 a gallon?

That was on 103 octane. Same car made 663rwhp with 15 lbs boost on 91 octane.

If you are going to drive it on the street, 57's will come in plenty fast enough for you. Yeah, the 51's will still edge them out, but the load on the street, they come in pretty fast given the proper size A/R

thats true i could go 57's and go with a smaller A/R for added spool time. So many options so little money :D :kaboom:

And what about 67's!? :D
To tell you the truth i think there to big. Unless you have some serious shit done, i dont think there worth it. I guarentee that if i was to race a tt 67mm on the freeway i would yank it because of the faster spool. Now if we had built motors i dont think i would be able to see it by the end. lol I wanted something that would hit full boost by 3200. It was hard for me to decide between the 50s and the 57s. Now dont get me wrong here the 67s are extremely badass! When i rode in my buddies it felt like i was hit by a freight train at 4000k. lol

57's wont even really see full boost @ 3200. Depending on the size of the A/R and gear, 67's can be very usefull. Even if you were to pull up next to one on a highway, all he has to do is brake boost and bring the car to 5-6 PSI and it would be more than enough. Already moving at that speed, there will really be no difference between the 57's and 67's. Then you can throw into the arguement on what rear end gear he has. Consider if he had a 3:27 or 3:08, then he would be able to use his power band a lot more efficently than say the 57's and 3:55's. So many different ways to go, so little time.

67's arent even in the question. Im not looking for 900+. Ill be happy with 700-800. I dont want to build a fuel system to support 900 nor do i want to upgrade rear/suspension to handle that. This is not a drag car and wont see the track. Just a mean as piss weekend/nice day car that will destory anything that i can run into.

LOL. I wasn't trying to talk you into 67's, even though they are hella nice!! :coolman:

If you are looking to make 700-800, then the 57's will be plenty for you. Just becareful with the build-up, even with 700+ HP, you will need the same suspension mods to help hook/durability as you would with 900 HP.

Goodluck with the car!!

What do you have 57 or 67? Not many people brake boost though. I was just talking about flooring it. I see your points though.

the 57mm seem to be the best all around setup, plenty of room to grow and still spool decently on stock cubes... also good for 700+ on pump gas...
