I'm swapping a 96 cobra engine into a 01 Gt Body. I'm trying to use the GT computer (instrument pack/pats) and gt harness if possible. Has anybody tried this or know of any good references? I am thinking of converting to newer edge cop and tuning it for return style fueling. Anybody done this? Most people go from 96-98 gt/cobra and 99-up gt/cobra for simplicity, but I already have all the components for this type of swap. What's the easiest route? Thanks in advance.

You can use the 01 harness and COPs. You will also need 99 and up valve covers to use the COPs and fuel rails that will allow you to use the 96-98 intake with a returnless system.
