2nd gear grind problem.

I've been reading a bit about this problem with the tremec tranny. Anyone else having a problem with their 2nd gear grinding? I have an 2010 with 12k miles, this has only ocurred a handful of times, but it worries me.

Did it once to me, but after taking others' advice and pushing the clutch all the way down it hasn't happened since.

Yes it has to go to the floor it seems or very close to it.

TSB and 2010, parts in mine.

Mine does it as well...only when I try to shift fast.

I read somewhere they are replacing 2nd gear shift forks in the new trannys

Even if they do issue a TSB I'm leaving it alone. It happens so infrequently that it's not worth the risk of having someone tear the tranny apart.

seems like a problem for all 07-10 GT500s an guess will see about the 2011's

I have the 2010 clutch kit and have no problem pounding it quick and hard into 2nd

Anyway I think it is the 2010+ trannys and not the clutch

The trannys are identical so yes the '11s would have the issue also.

I had this issue prior to getting the TSB done. It would regularly not go into second shifting near red line. After the TSB, never misses a shift.

It's normal.......

Just google TR6060 second gear grind.

It happens on all platforms. It isn't frequent enough for most to warrant tearing the transmission down and Tremec has never stated there is a problem with a fix.
