What mods would you guys do if you had 2500 to spend.

I just got my year end bonus from work so I alotted 2500 of it to the cobra. Maybe a little more if I need some extra stuff.

The car has a h pipe and catback, and I just did a complete tune up on it about a month ago. I have a 255lph pump, a regulator, and a new coil that I bought but havent put in yet.

A set of gears, a alum driveshaft, a shifter, and a diff cover will definately be the next steps.... what else????

Post your opinions/reccomendations.

I think if I do the Heads and Cam Im going to send the cobra intake out to get ported, just to keep the stock look.

You can probably do heads/cam/maf. Ive seen some used ported AFRS with like 1500 miles on them for 1200$ on a local board. If you look around you can stretch your money..

The only problem with that is that its much more for the setup when you add all the other stuff you need. Injectors, new maf, engine managment and a tune = over 4000

4k when you buy new stuff

used S trims (or even a Novi 1k which is only 1700new) are 13-1800
new injectors.. 200 (42s)
Trex.. 100
new MAF...100-150
tune for blower..450

so your still right at 2500 :rolling: and its fun with a whistle (except my strim does not make any noise haha)

and when doing heads

TFS 1200
rockers 200
intake 450
TB and Spacer 350
MAF 100-150
head gaskets 80
head bolts 80
cam 200
front gaskets 50
injectors 150

head inserts 25
broken bolt fund 25

and in the end you will spend about the same money doing HCI or more then doign a simple blower install and have probably a bit more power.

i THINK I MIGHT GO WITH THE S-TRIM USED IDEA.

USED S TRIM- 1500ISH
42'S- 200
MAF- 350
PMS-900

THATS 2900 IF I CANT FIND A USED PMS.

if your any good with wiring at all I have a megasquirt on my blown 94 cobra and it works flawless... about 350 in parts max and you need your own laptop. If you want anymore info shoot me a PM

I just have had a pms before, and if you buy it from anderson they give you a program for your application so you dont need a tune rigth away.

I like the pms, its super easy to tune.
