they haven't gained much in trap speed since the 5.0 came back in 2011. I had a 2012 running 12.2@115 in the manual back then with just an intake and generic tune.
the interior has come along way but the car needs the power to go with it, especially at that price point.

Same car is also still running 87 octane. IMO the data they are sharing is not helping. These cars will perform inconsistently when you are constantly riding the knock sensors like that.
Their ‘stock’ run was a 13.0. No offense but that’s unacceptable.

My 2018 gen 3 10r80 ran a 12.4@116 bone stock down to the paper filter untouched, street tires and all.
Gen 4 is not impressing thus far.

I watch a lot of youtube...but it's mostly diagnostic, repair, *some* channels that build cars (LSC is one of them). All these car review channels/videos are out of control. Boring AF.
