I'm not gonna fire myself haha

Transparency is the key for me. When I trade for something, I have no problem walking a customer through the whole process and showing them what I'll be asking for it. It's common sense that I need to be profitable to stay in business haha
Just to think how crazy it is that you’re doing so well being an honest car salesman….

At the end of the day, I don't have enough hours to screw with someone back and forth.

Although, I did just have an older lady yesterday tell me I lied to her... I had to go back through our emails line by line to show her I didn't...then she still insisted so I told her that we would both be happier parting ways before doing business together haha

There is no way to make everyone happy even if you’re 1000000% above board.

Correct. I told my wife when I got home, I was more mad that the lady thought I lied to her and truly believed it. lol

These are always so hard for me, as I sold new ones at MSRP or below.

Working through the numbers though. I assume a modest $650 for reconditioning. Clean up, oil change, ran through the shop for our multi-point inspection. I set the desired profit to $2,500. When I look at the Market Days Supply (88) and the Like Mine Supply (108) that tells me the likelihood of me still owning it in 3 months, is high if I price it at 100% of the market (average market price). In order to sell it in a 30-60 day window, I need to be at 95% of the market, which is $79,564. The results show compared to 33 other vehicles in the market I would be the 10th lowest price, and the 8th lowest price when you take into account the mileage. With his having average miles, that doesn't shock me.

With the new invoice back in 2020 being for $77,706... I still wouldn't call $79,564 a steal. Ideally, I think it retails for $76k as is with all the perceived pow-uhhh.

You wouldn’t need to recondition that steering wheel those leather mittens have saved it.

Welcome to my world Nick. I get the Brad said crap all the the time, and my boss will tell the customer "he's been here 25 years and has never done that." The hear and remember what they want.
Great looking car and good price. Good luck with sale

Ya’ll are tough. And also assuming the car needs an oil change and reconditioning as well as some other things when like I said it’s ready to go.

Thanks brother. DM me and we can talk about it if you’re interested. The last thing I wanted was to sell this car because I love it but like I said in the OP I have some opportunities I don’t want to miss.

Sure, just giving you props man. I'm used to secrecy, deception and lies from car salesman. It's a shame your business strategy is not the standard.
