What's up fellow Mustang owners. I'm new to the forum. I've been doing some reading on here and haven't came across the topic of any motor ticking noise at about 3000 rpms. The dealer says it's normal.
Cite it, record it, get it on record then keep all data. If the pistons go bad you're covered.
If you're getting it on a cold engine, but it diminishes as the engine heats up it is almost certainly piston slap.
Reminds me of the LS1 FBody days. Ol' Piston Slap!
