Stayed at the Holiday Inn and hung out with a crew from Long Island - very cool folks and we had a blast that night.

That morning i was walking to the elevator and Chip Foose was walking to the elevator. He was a extremely cool and polite guy, we chatted a bit on the ride to the lobby but i was in a hangover fog so i dont think i completed a coherent sentence LOL

The show was ****ing HOT so we bailed around 3PM. I only live an hour away so the cruise was awesome. I went with my buddys and included a 2011 GT/CS 2007 ShelbyGT and my Boss
Didnt want to take the chance like last year with the food situation so we grilled steaks burgers dogs pulled pork sausage etc. with some choice IPAs I was ****ing stuffed and took a nice long nap
Was a good day

It was a great show. They do a great job and it was very well organized.

My dad and I left syracuse NY at 5:00am and were there waiting in line by 9:30. He drove his 2012 I drove my Cobra. We brought our own food and some shade too. We ended up leaving around 3:30ish and were home by 10:00. Got caught in a little rain on the way home and stopped a couple of times but it was a great ride.

Very nice pics 03SVTscott! Thanks for posting and I'm glad to see I made the cut for you as well. The show was definitely a great time I only wish I would have gotten to meet and talk to a couple more of the svt guys on the site. I was able to meet bleedingfordblu as I was parked next to him....awesome guy. I thought we had a long day...we got there at 830 and left by 330 as well but reading some of the replies WOW did you guys do some driving!

Great shots in here guys!

Thanks again to everyone that came out. What did you think in comparison to last year?

Alex

The field felt empty. Lots of lined spaces with no cars.

Groups got split up that came together, which is unfortunate.

Judging is always a bit of a mystery at this show. It's so big, what is the criteria? Some cars in my club were judged before they even started cleaning it, so if cleanliness is a criteria then judging should not start so early. We were parked around 845 and judges rolled by around 900.

Food was 1000% better handled this year. No absurd lines.

Vendor space was better, had more to look at.

AM NEEDS to bring back the car show discount on parts. The scratch and dent tent is a joke. Haphazard layout, too many people.

Need some shade. This venue is very HOT both this year and last year. I saw one tent by the food area, but that was always packed and there were a lot of bees there.

Overall AM is getting better at hosting this show and it has grown tremendously from the first year I attended (2010). I heard rumors from our that there may be talks about a joint show in the future with MCA which I think would be terrific and draw some of the gen 1/2/3 folks that AM does not really cater to today.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Judging is a mystery and the bees were the most annoying part of show where your trying to eat food in peace, other than that it was amazing. Jet car for the finale was the pinnacle.

did you by any chance get a good look at this 10th or talk to the owner? I know he was trying to sell it and only had 3k miles on it

No I wanted to though.....car was really clean...I liked the wheels was wondering what they were. He either moved or was gone by noon.

Food vendors were better. Still could use more! Same as the porta potties! Lol. Judging is a total mystery!!! If u guys are going to continue to judge u need to set some criteria/guidelines!! I'd love to know how a V-6 mustang can win the 99-2004 class when there are so many awesome Terminators there!! Kind of a slap in the face!! It would be awesome to bring the class winners cars up past the stage at the end. Otherwise I'd just can the judging if changes aren't made. Overall an awesome show especially considering the number of cars and people attending!! The AM crew does work their buts off putting on this venue!!

The show both years was great but yea just a few things. 10% off as a show deal is weak, very weak. You guys give that discount to anyone that sneezes, for the size of the show I would expect better... like 25% area. Food was much better, it really decreased the lines which was great. These are about the only thing you can control at a show this big.
