Fair enough. The new GT500 is first a quarter mile burner though as evidenced by a sub 11 second run. The only S550 I've ever driven or even been in was a rental V6 so I can't really comment on the platform. In any event, the new 500 should be a second and a half quicker in the quarter mile which is plenty to get people to trade in a 14, let alone an anemic 07.
