Ok, maybe he mispoke. Should I data log it to make sure 20* is safe? I figured since the IAT'S will pull timing that it should be ok.

I don't like to see any knock retard but a tad is probably ok. You do need to data log to check afr, timing advance, boost psi and kr for sure. I get up to .5* kr and when running a touch of Torco at 17.5-18* in the upper rpm. Without Torco even a little more.

I've been unsuccessful finding a PID in SCT to log boost. But I have logged it with my HP Tuner.

KCobra, great numbers, can you post up the whole sheet?? SAE or STD numbers?? 93 Octane Gas? I gotta get mine on the rollers. Thanx

Totally validates what I saw with my car on dyno and at track, these cars peak much later than previous GT500s, and run faster with higher shift points, too bad the oil pump gears (and rods) don't like high RPM shifts.

I tuned my car yesterday I was disappointed with the numbers, the base line number are 550rwhp, 524tq. after installing jlt 148mm and off rode xpipe It made 610rwhp, 636tq. the air temp was 39c. I also have 3.55 gears and 305/35/r20 drag radials.

How do you like the 3.55 gears?

Final List of mod's done:
  • JLT 127mm CF CAI
  • VMP 67mm Twin plate TB
  • NGK TR7iX
  • VMP 2.4" Upper pulley & 90mm Idler
  • ARH 1 7/8" LT w/ OR X-Pipe
  • VMP 93 Tune


  1. Base Line run made on a dyno jet using 91 octane fuel.

  1. 2nd Result in RED made on Dyno jet with UP,TB & CAI, using a mixture of half tank 91 octane fuel + 1 Bottle of BOOSTANE.
  2. 3rd run shown in BLUE made on the same dyno jet using 93 octane pump gas and the addition of ARH 1 7/8" LT & O/R X-pipe

Looks like you and hostile500 use the same shop?
Difference in boost and looks like TB and exhaust, but do you use same tuner?
