Went to Cecil County, MD today to try to get into the 11s with just a Livernois tune and 295/50/16 MT ET Street II drag radials.
Now last week the car went 12.090 and 12.050, so I was hoping that bumping the shift points a bit higher would do it. All I wanted was an 11.9 and the DA was around -1693ish.
I came prepared, I brought a ratchet and sockets to remove the seat and mufflers. I could just picture me bumping 12.0s all day, so I figured that a bit of weight loss would do it. I weigh 270-275, so taking weight out of the car made sense.
As the car cooled I took off the weight. Another snow storm this week left it filthy, top and bottom.
Removing the extra weight did the trick! The DA was -1550 to -1500 for these runs.
After that I put the car back together and took 2 more passes, the DA was approx -1130.
I cannot believe the MPH.
Big thanks to Livernois for an awesome tune!
I've met my first goal, running an 11 with just a tune. Next is 10s, bolt-ons only.
The converter goes in this week...
