Oh. I just rembered. Last month they had a $3,000 incentive on 08s and 1500 on the 09s. Not sure if it was conitued tho.
Also the dealers invoice is not what they buy the car for. So dont let them try and talk you into that.

No incentives. I would love to see where these deals are, because these guys are sitting on them. The dealership I am working with doesn't have any '08's and the General Manager is a friend. Every other dealer he has called is saying invoice or more.

See thats the problem you need to get straight to dealer with 2008 car. Go in and say Im ready to buy today. Thats how you get best deal.

I know of a 2008 had everything. Sold 2 moths ago for 39,990. Well now that same dealer ship has a 2009 for same price. I think that was the first link I sent you.
If you can find 2009s for 42,000 or less. That tells you 2008s need to be at 40,000 or lower. Because as soon as you buy it and drive it off. It becomes a 2 year old used car. Not a 1 year old car like the 2009s.

What color combo and options you looking for?

I paid $43,012 (Invoice) for my 2009 back in December of 2008. It had a 09/03/08 ship date and has the improved drivetrain components.

I found the cheapest cars seem to be in California but when I got a quote on shipping it was well over $1,000 to Fla. Also as was said above look closely at the options. Mine came with ambient lighting, premium interior and shaker 1000. The Sirius radio is std on the 2009 but not the 2008.

One more thing be real careful about the small print in Ebay ads. Some dealers are tacking on $500 to $800 Dealer Handling fees. There is a Dealer over in Daytona selling some stripped down 2009 models for around $41,000 but he has a dealer fee of $800.

A really good buy would be a brand new 2009 with a build date that gives you the improved drivetrain components, near enough to you that you can pick it up with a dealer fee of $200 or less priced around $39,900 with no options. Expect to pay between $40,000 to $43,000 for a 2009 new based on options.

Your chances of finding a brand new 2008 model are getting slimmer everyday as a lot of them sold with the Factory incentive.

The new cars are selling off the lots now and all of the new 2008 and 2009 models will most likely be gone by Fall as the economy is starting to turn around a little.

Next year there will be some people who will be saying "Man I remember when you could buy a brand new GT500 for invoice or slightly below." When the new ones are gone the prices of the used ones will start back up.

Good Luck in your search, you will really enjoy your GT500.

If someone bought a brand new 2009 for $4,000 under invoice that would be the best buy on a car ever made. I would have to see names and places to believe that story. Sounds kind of like "Bigfoot" sighted.;-)

I might believe it if it were a 2008 with the incentive.

Its on ebay right now. White with blue stripes. Hell of deal if you want to wait for it to be shipped. Should cost about 1200 for enclosed trailer from California to Louisiana.[/QUOTE]

I thought you were talking local. I need to trade my TBSS.

Hahaha. No good luck getting a local dealer to come off the sticker price. Last time I talked to them they said they wanted 10k over sticker but would let me have it for sticker. I just luaghed and walked out.
I know Banner Ford has a 2009 last time I checked they were at 45k. Still not a good deal tho.

Just picked up the car for $38,500 guys. Negotiations were comical. They kept telling me we can't meet your price as we will lose money, blah, blah, blah.

Pick it up today. 2008 Vapor Metallic with Ebony stripes, HID Lamps, Ambient Lighting, Premium Leather and Shaker 1000.

Couldn't sleep all night I am so excited.

WOW!!! Nice deal.
Im going today to negotiate for a 2009. I offered them 40,000 yesterday after they said sticker. He said lets go inside and talk. Sticker is 47,300.
Really hoping to pick it up for 40,000.
We shall see in about 3 hours.

Be sure and check the build date, the sticker is located inside the Drivers door frame. If the build date is prior to 09/2008 I would use that as a negotiating point. The flywheel issue is a big deal on the earlier cars. This is one reason the 2008 models are so cheap. There are several Brand new 2009s on Ebay right now that have the old flywheel in them.

Team Shelby > 2009 GT500 - The Exact date the new flywheel started going in
