What kind of mileage are ya'all getting? EPA rating for these things is 14 city, and 18 highway, but the EPA ratings are known to be wildly off at times.

I had an '01 5.4L 4x4 that only got about 12mpg in town, I think. So, what are your experiences? The reason I ask is because I'm thinking about buying one this week.

I have an 07 4x4 with the super cab. The most I have ever gotten out of a tank on the freeway was 410 miles. I have a 27 gallon tank.

Now around town and city driving I average about 300-320 per tank.

07 Supercrew here and city driving pretty much average 13.6 mpg exactly every tank. I have a k&N FIPK and an X-cal on it. Highway driving it depends but it'll get over 15 very easy. Best of about 18.

I just traded in my 03 Cobra for an 08 Supercrew Lariat in this same color. Same 20" wheels and all. I don't have the cap or step bars yet.

I miss the cobra already, but this truck rocks!!

On the open highway the computer was showing 20-22 mpg @ 60 mph. Stop and go driving I saw 12.

Oh yeah. It has the 3.73 LSD.

I get 16.4 to 16.8 in town and 19.4 to 19.8 on the highway. My 08 4 x 4 , SC Lariat is not stock. Mine has an X3 tuner with custom dyno tunes, AF1 intake, and Roush exhaust. Stock it averaged 14.5 -14.8 in town.

I have an 04...5.4l, extended cab, 4x4, 3.55 gears...Lariat package with 18" wheels. In mixed driving I am getting 16.0mpg. That is driving like an old lady. On the highway, 18mpg is a reality with longer trips. If you have a heavy foot and have to be the winner at every red light or would rather be in front of someone during a merge, rather than wait for the faster to pass, expect around 14mpg. Keeping it under 75mph helps a ton too.

It really depends on how heavy your foot is. It could be anywhere from 12 to 18mpg

I have an 06 FX4 SuperCab with 285/65R18s, and I just got a personal best of almost 17mpg on my trip from Baton Rouge. I get between 13 and 14 in the city. Strictly highway driving 70 and under got me my best mileage. I also have an Edge tuner, flows, and K&N. I upped my tire pressure to 40lbs and that improved my mileage by 2 mpg. It definately hurt my ride though. I've been driving like an old man lately.

Did you get the truck? To answer your question, I get between 13 and 14 mostly city and 14 to 15 mostly highway. I have a 2006 supercrew 4x4 king ranch, it does everything but scratch my nutts and get good fuel mileage. I have a airaide CAI, magnaflow exhuast and custom tunes by troyerperformance on an sct xcal 3. Besides the power and better shifting I got with his tunes I also picked up a solid 1 to 2 miles per gallon.

2814V I had Troyers custom dyno tune my F150 with the X3 and 3.5" AF1 unit and with that and now the added Roush exhaust (didn't re-tune) I am getting 2-4 more MPG's than you what tune are you running on?
