First off I would like to say the TVS is a great blower and works well for it's size. Also this test was done with a none R version.
I went 9.88 @ 144 with the Gen 2 TVS but like most I wanted a little more. I had already maxed out the Gen 2 and did not know if a $1000 port job or the new R would be worth the money for the 20-30whp gains that I have seen. So I sold it and took a shot at a 2.9 whipple crusher maxed out like the gen 2 was. Not many people have pushed these 2.9 blowers on a stock motor so I was little unsure on it's capabilities. Anyways here are the results and I was slightly surprised.

Both pulls were on a DJ STD correction on a 29" 10.5W bias ply with 17lbs in them, . TVS GEN 2: 2.4/15% ~23lbs. Crusher 2.9: 2.5/15% ~27lbs.
Everything else was the same bolton mods and fuel (C16). It was a little cooler for the crusher pull but I did not ice it down for the pull.
The crusher had 2* less timing for anybody asking.

Here is the whp graph it picked up 61 at peak and as much as 90 in the mid range.

Here is the tq graph the TVS has a advantage in the lower rpm (2500-4000) but after 4500 the bigger blower has the advantage.

Hmmm... wonder what the TVS 2650 will look like when they get released. I have to imagine the larger displacement will have it breathing better in the upper RPMs. Just hope it doent lose its torque down low.

Ive thought about a Whipple before, but case bearing failures kinda had me iffy on em. Are they still having issues on em?

I am sure the 2650 will do fine. I am not familiar with the bearing failure.

Holy crap, your running that much boost on a stock block, and I was worried about a 100 shot on 17 lbs of boost!!!

I don't think spraying on top of boost is much if any better. At least boost is more consistent.

Is that the whole set up running at it max potential or is it turned down to keep ur motor whole?

I am sure it could have made more. Made 811 2nd pull. Probbaly could have made 820+ for a dyno glory pull.

That's awesome man I bet it's a rocket. How high are you spinning the engine to? Seemed like a short pull, like 6100-6200?

I mean AED built a 10.1 compression, 5.0L stroker, ported heads, custom cams, 2.9L crusher that make 1000+rwhp lol. On C85..
Was only on a 3" upper only..

These blowers put in work with a built engine and compression.

What sucks in down south E85 isn't nearly as available as it in most cities.

Well 6400-6800 is what I plan on shifting at. The first pull was 6600 the one in the vid was 6400.

nice numbers.......
when ya spin those whipple over 21 psi they really come alive where as the VMP is outta gas....

seen the same thing with my buddies VMP ...if ya keep them to 19-20 seems to be the sweet spot for them...
