Worked on the tune a bit. Idle set at 1200 so it's a little smoother and adjusted to fuel map in the idle to around 5k rpm with in the no load range.

Finished my charge tubes.

Sounds mean! What are the power goals & times your shooting for?

The goal is progressive. Meaning I am going to be working on the power output in stages. The current goal is to outrun my old pb speed and et by a good margin, which is a 9.03 and 151mph. I am going to tune it with around 800-900 hp for now.

I have a race at Bristol Dragway on Aug 29th. That weekend there is a Fun Ford event and Mopar shootout and a group of us 2.3 turbo guys were able to get our annual event added to the venue. So far the are 19 cars planning to attend. We are split into two groups, a bracket class and a quick 8 class that runs heads up.

During the winter months I am going to complete the backhalf of the car with 4 link along with a couple other items needed. I will then proceed to continue adding power and try to max out my turbo, a Precision 7675 CEA. That should be around 1200 hp and at the car weight should transition to mid 7 second passes.

The car is almost race ready. I am working on the exhaust piping now, taking off the bull horn and flush mounting exhaust pipe in fender along with dedicated wastegate pipe.

One of the funnest cars I've ever owned was a 2.3 swapped Coupe.
It was boosted to the moon and the little motor just took it and smiled

Good move to flush mount the exhaust pipe in the fender. The extension just spoils the appearance of the front end IMO, not that it matter all that much since it's a dedicated strip car. You've done well with the car and the future plans are nice. I wish you the best with your plans and goals.

They are addicting little motors!

9's in a 2.3L Mustang. Jesus.

Hopefully 9's are a thing of the past.

I got on here to post those pics now. lol CobraBob ahead of the game. lol

Thanks for the responses everyone. It has taken WAY longer than I wanted to finish this setup but that is life. I'm having fun with it and that is what matters the most.

Flush mouted the exhaust pipe and separated the wastegate pipe from the downpipe and ran the wg piping next to the downpipe.
