Well, with the weather came real excitement for us Michiganders.

-I finished my brake job mid week. Powerslot rotors, hawk ceramics, and SS brake lines.

-First official wash/polish/wax/detail. Pics Below.

-OH YEA.... 1ST OFFICIAL KILL! I was cruising home from work Friday in my freshly polished (still bone stock) cobra with new brakes and up rolls a C5 in the lane to my right. We were both at a red light and it turned green before we were able to interact. I crept at about 30 in 2nd gear and he did as well. So I figured hell why not.... I was expecting to loose with my stocker. I honker her 3 times and took off. I could tell we slammed the pedal at the exact same time and I slowly pulled away. The c5's front wheels were right at my back passenger door and I threw it in 3rd (mind you this is a 45mph busy 4 lane road). I backed off half-way through 3rd gear and he kept on it just to pass me... We were getting real close to traffic ahead so I got out of it first and his ego kept him in danger. After I loosened my grip on the wheel and column I followed him to a nearby lot and we had a friendly chat. Turns out his c5 is somewhat modded. Intake/Borla Exhaust/Tune. We both agreed he would have crept passed me the closer we got into 4th gear.... Regardless I was proud and we agreed to do it again another time.

Nice car...nice kill!

One piece of advice...burn those F1's.

I had a set and although a good performing/mileage tire...they wheel hop worse than any tire I have ever seen. Was reading Bruces FAQ on the FTBR site and he specifically mentions the Goodyear F1 by name as being notorious for it.

If you're just a cruiser and only roll race they may work for you...but from a dig, you can guarantee they'll hop every time.

I don't know, my F1's don't hop that bad, if at all. I know some cars do it more than others. I know for my old 04 I had a set of Falkens that hopped like crazy. Before that it had F1's and same thing didn't hop hardly ever.

OP, nice car.

Thanks for the props fellas.

As-far as the advice.... I have many, many mods on the way including a set of 555's 315's and afs rear replicas 17X10.5. I have such a list I don't even have time for making the list right now.

Just keep checkin back with me. The build should be done mid-may with pics and more kills to come. I assure you!

I will be leaving the eagle f1's up front since i have 4 good ones.

Thank you!
