A friend of mine is selling his 1996 Vector M12. it's red with cream interior and has about 10,000 miles. i'm gonna go take a look at it today and double check miles, condition, etc. i like the car and i was gonna make him an offer but what the hell are these things worth?

maybe...but there are only 12 in existence so it is a huge collectors item. something i may be able to sell in the near future for a profit.

It should be worth a lot then. I really don't think anyone on SVTP is going to be able to give you a educated appraisal.

i know, but we're all car guys. maybe someone saw, read an article, or heard of someone buying one within the last year. or saw one advertised somewhere.

[QUOTE=rust0r]from a quick search it appears there was a confirmed 14 cars built, and production was halted because the supply of engines from Lamborghini ended, but they apparently had parts up to 18 some sources say

found this link of the wikipedia page, guy lists his for 150K

IMO: if you've got money collecting dust that you can hold in a car for 5 - 10 years and keep it stored and in top condition, you might be able to pick up a bit of profit in resale seeing as they did only make 14 of them, not sure how many have been destroyed

you never know, look how many old guys are kicking themselves now for selling their mint roadroader or camaro back in the day...

Used to be one of my favorite cars, but not very fast to todays standards, I would expect to pay no less than 90k because of the rarity of it, but I don't see it gaining value soon because of the looks. I'd give it 10 years before it starts appreciating. Probably fun to drive though, it's much like a lambo.
