Todays tasks started off with putting on my dust shields when I quickly noticed my bump steer bolts were in the way so I decided to cut that piece off of the dust shield as you can see here.

Again I am super happy with the way these calipers turned out.

All in the details. I rarely reused any bolts or nuts anywhere.

The calipers really pop behind the dark colored wheels.

Next step was to mount the proportioning valve for the rear brakes. I didn't want the lines in the engine bay and I wanted this hidden but still able to be adjusted if needed for any odd reason. Ultimately this should be a set it and forget it.

I had to use some spacers to draw it away from the body.

After that I worked on my feed and return lines.

I didn't like how sharp of a turn they took so I decided to cut open the body to accommodate.

This shows where the lines enter and exit the cowl area.

Much more room

Feed line is all squared away just waiting on a few more fittings to finish up the return line.

That was it for today. Tomorrow while Im at work my Dad will finish up the brake lines and will begin to put the engine accessories on the front of the engine. I need to talk to my welder guy to get some mounts put on the radiator for the fans.

Kind of a slow day on the car. I keep having issues with fittings and receiving the wrong fittings. Super irritating.

accessory brackets mounted up

Clutch cable is in and ready to go.

Tomorrow I will head to my welders place and have aluminum bungs welded to the radiator for my fans.

Also picked up these monster 16AN and 20AN bungs to be welded into the radiator

I will be getting AN fittings tomorrow for my valve covers to be welded in then I need to find the correct vented canister for my breather lines to go into.

I also spoke to the guys over at Florida 5.0 about a custom dash setup too. I am waiting on getting some prices back so I can order everything I need from them. Pretty excited for the setup.

I've been following your build on Instagram. I'm thefoxmulder on IG.

Love it. Love the caliper, wheel choice, all of it. One of these days mine will get a set of RK's and better suspension. It's been a job to even get my chassis up to the same level of cleanliness. And even still I don't think it's there yet. You have one hell of a nice car/build going on.

Right on! Just followed back. My IG has not been updated as frequently as this thread. Thank you, I appreciate it!

Crazy build, super nice, cant wait to see the finished product. Awesome work and detail!

Thanks man, going into this I didn't realize I would be this deep lol. Glad I am doing it though. I cant wait either, should be a fun machine to drive!

Today we finally cleared up why the fittings were not working as they should. The tolerances were off due to being garbage Chinese fittings. Went and picked up Fragola fittings and all is well in the world. until later tonight but I will get to that later.

Front brackets are on and the Alt is mounted. Tomorrow we will pull the PS pump pulley. Staying the course with all allen head cap bolts everywhere!

Visited the welder tonight to get the fan mounts welded on and the AN fitting bungs welded onto the radiator.

I decided I didn't want breathers from the valve covers, I would run AN line into separate canisters here are the bungs on the valve covers.

After seeing this I am pumped and ready to go...... Till disaster strikes.

Looks normal? Looks good right? Look at the size of the bung on the valve cover above!!! thats the 16AN that should be on the radiator upper... The radiator upper has the 12AN that should be on the valve cover!!!

He is making it right, I trust him to fix it properly and correctly. I am buying more fittings tomorrow and dropping them off at his shop.

Also I opted against using the 20AN on the lower radiator since I couldn't find the correct fitting to get into the water pump. Its okay though I saved myself from buying 20an fittings at 80 bucks each.

So close to firing but yet so far away! tomorrow I want to start knocking out some wiring, need some relays to wire up, need to wire up the MSD box and the alternator and fuel pumps.

Man, whoever does your welding does some beautiful work....aside from mis-locating the hardware lol.

He does great work. He is a young kid that is really talented and I plan to keep using him. Its awesome that he isn't huge and doesn't have a ton of overhead and he is super excited to help me make my car what I want it to be. The mis location was somewhat my fault as I should have pointed out they were different sizes.

My dad went back today and it was all fixed. Cant even tell, im super happy with it.

Damn that is some nice work. Doesn't even look like it was welded at one time. That's clean cutting I'd say

Yeah it turned out real nice.

Tonight I ended up doing some delicate drilling in the fire wall. I located on the back side a hole from the factory and drilled a pilot hole out from the back.

Thankfully the step drill bit did the trick

Bulkhead in and the fittings on, I am noticing that the 90's aren't quite lining up. I am going to go back tomorrow to grab some 60's to make a straight line.

Here is another good look at the gap.

I have the next two days off work and the weekend so these next 4 days should make some real solid progress.

In the spare tire well where the battery will be mounted I have my leads for my trickle charger port coming up through a hole in the floor.

On the bottom side I have a port where I can quickly hook up to a trickle charger.

Tomorrow I will try and finish up extending some wires and tying them up into the wheel well so I can drape my fenders back onto the car and set the ride height. Im excited to see it on the ground.
