Yep, this will fit with some grinding on the caliper with an angle grinder. I went slowly, painting the caliper after each grind session and rolling back and forth in the driveway until it stopped rubbing paint off. In the end, I did not take much off. Not as nice as a Race Star/Weld/Bogart etc., but cheap!!

I found these wheels to be lighter

Curse, did you need to grind for those too?

Would a thin spacer do the same job or is it more of a diameter issue?

how much do they stick out? do you have a rear shot? would a small spacer work fine instead of grinding the caliper?

Good to know, thanks. I have an old pair of Prime 16x7 wheels that I borrowed from a friend that clear the rear brakes fine with no spacers. I have 255/50-16 ET Street radials on them.

The 99-04 'standard' silver Mustang GT 17x8 wheels clear the front brakes on my non-Brembo 2011 GT, and are 42-45lbs each with a tire, depending on which tire you use, and are cheap. They do not stick out either, actually they are not a very aggressive offset. My factory 18s with OEM Pirellis were 55lbs each. My 18x10 SVE Drifts with 285/40-18 Nitto 555s are 58lbs each.

I don't care what they look like and I wanted to run a 15 since there is a much wider range of tires available, and since they hook better as well. Now, if I could find something equally as ugly for the fronts that would clear the Brembo calipers, LOL.

Good ole stockers! I used to do this years ago, but I really never understood the need for a wider wheel, until I got one - and with no other changes, dropped my sixty a full tenth.

Good budget combo. Another great budget combo is finding the Summit/Jegs in a 15" wheel, used, for like $60/each.

What summit wheel fits the rear? My prostar knock offs wouldn't.

MikeLTDLX-What year Mustang did those rims come from? Are they 6 cylinder or GT? Thanks.

I bought them like this. However, I am pretty certain these are SN95 6 cylinder wheels. '94 and up, although I don't recall seeing these on New Edge cars. New Edge cars had the other style that Curse was showing.
