High tech corvette is nut swinging so hard all over this race on FB. This version is a decent video but it's a stupid race. MASSIVE weight and HP difference...wow what a surprising outcome.

The worst thing is these things arent even remotely competitive at things like KOTS and TX2K. Crazy.

Why do people always bring weight into roll racing. Sure it makes a difference, but the difference when you're already moving is so minuscule. Weight is a much bigger factor in braking, cornering, and drag racing. Now, aero is a big factor at these speeds. I think basically what it boils down to is the Vette just simply out powered the gtr. Even though the gtr is more slippery than the corvette it just didn't have the cajones. Uh, and yeah... The Vette driver has "huge attachments" to be driving like that.

Man that vette pulls hard as **** in 4th gear. As a C6 ZO6 owner I know how long 4th gear is and he went through it like if it was 1st!!lol

That Z06 is definitely one badass ride but with over 500 hp disadvantage that GTR was pretty impressive.

The trade off between aerodynamics/gearing and weight occurs gradually as speeds build into the triple digits. If rolls started at 150mph then I would agree here, but it most certainly does play a factor from typical roll-on speeds (~50-60mph). Gathering momentum on someone from the hit (great power/weight) does you great favors against cars with a hp advantage.
