5.0 sounds beastly! And that 3V owner needs to take those 03/04 cobra wheels off.
Kind of a weird race. As bad as the whipple car got yanked at the beginning you'd almost wonder if he missed a shift or screwed up somehow. Then after the 5.0 gets back into it from his missed shift he isn't able to pull at that point.
Guessing the whipple car probably makes more peak power but the 5.0 has a longer power band. Makes a difference.

How much power does the 3v make?
I would think a properly tuned whipple 3v would be in the 450-475hp if the bottom wasn't built.
I had a SC Mach 1 and I'm convinced my NA 5.0 with my current mods could pull it. It would be close.

My buddy got to race a whipple 3V in his bone stock coyote as well. Here is the result.

I def thought that whipple 3v would have won by a car or so...... I was wrong!!!
Nice cars. I would bet the 3v is not a cooled kit and therefor not making much more power than the 5.0
Whipple rates their non intercooled kit at 415hp so that 3v is basically making what a 5.0 makes stock. It would have been really ugly if the Coyote hadnt missed a gear lol ugh
