Yes I'm serious.

I understand the appearance upgrades and the aluminum 5.8 v the 5.4. From what I've read the 5.4 has better rods and similar pistons and makes nearly the same power as the 5.8 at the same boost levels. Most cars 11-12 v 13-14 have about a $10k price delta or more. Additionally the 11-12 is marginally lighter than the 13-14, however for me personally I'd have to have the 13 grille delete, tail lights, and rear cover/valance all which I could get for cost from a Ford service manager I know. Do you think it's worth all the extra coin for a 13-14 as opposed to a 11-12 with the same appearance upgrades?

If you are considering compromising, then do it all the way.

Save a ton of coin and go 07-09 like I did.

I'll be adding a tvs and 13/14 style headlights real soon.

Car will be a beast, look great, have an iron motor, and cost 10s of thousands less than a 13/14 while having the same trans and chassis.

From the research I've done the Trinity goes at 800+. Then you have the updated TR6060, and slightly beefed up. Carbon fiber driveshaft, and a few other things. I don't know much about the 10+ Condors, only Shelby's I'm interested in are the S197 I and Trinity's.

From what I've read from tuners, the 11-12s seem told hold timing better than the 13-14s. Take that for what it is. If you can find a fully loaded 12 with the mods you want already done, I'd go that route. And that's actually what I did. Threw a vmp TVS with some other bolt ons and I'm happy as can be for 10 grand less. I did get a great deal though. If you can be patient, which is easier said than done, you can find the car that you're looking for. If you want to keep it close to stock, get the 13-14.

11-12 have a shorter 1st gear than the 13-14.

Ford #56 injectors, a 21V Kenne Bell BAP and a Trinity TVS w/ 2.5" pulley and youre probably at 720hp on pump gas.

Id love a Trinity as a start point as far as engine size, power and supercharger. But a lot of rear axle stuffs arent compatible with the 13-14 for some reason. You have to swap out the rear brakes for 07-12 rear brakes if you want to run 15" drag wheels and slicks. The 6-piston front Brembos are EXPENSIVE to perform brake jobs on.

13-14 gauges are legit too

I had a 07 TVS, it was a damn beast. But the 13 is obviously better handling, and interior. if you can afford it, get the 13/14. You will be happier in the end.

Just so you know I had a 11 for 6 months, Realized I was spending all sorts of money to try and make it be like, or comparable to a 13. I sold it and bought a 13. It was a $9,000 Delta but it has so much more stock that I would have had another 9k in the 11 before I was close.

I also sleep better at night knowing I have the big Dog and not its little brother :)

The grille delete was one of the 1st things I addressed as a new 14 owner. Several threads on this site showing the results of small objects / rocks contacting the heat exchanger....( it may look cool, but !! )

What's your initial budget/how much do you want to pay for just the car?
I went with a 11 due to the price difference being substantial between a 11/12 to a 13/14(~15k at the time of purchase). I could make up the difference in looks/power and still save 5-8k.

I would say now with the 13/14's being in the 40's(low to high) that I would just go with a 13/14. You get the top dog GT500 with some cool tech inside and you won't have to touch/modify any exterior pieces to get the look you want

Well I just bought my 12 about 2 weeks ago, here's why I went 11-12,
10-15k cheaper with the same miles/options.
Lower compression
Cheaper insurance(it only matters because I'm 22)
3:73s with the 12s first gear is perfect for the track (**** 60mph in first)
I prefer the 12s body styling over the 13 minus the tails and open mouth grill

What other body styling is different except painted rockers and blackout tail panel? You like the older headlights better?

If you are going to Race Car it get an 07-10.

Those Aluminum Blocks are no Joke to Replace (Unlike the Aluminum Coyote Blocks which are relatively cheap).

If you blow the motor on a 13-14 $20k is the minimum budget.

Painted Rockers, rear bumper/diffuser, grills, both sets of lights. (I think that's everything)

If you plan to keep it boltons only and like me do some corner carving, I would get the 5.8 GT500.
lightweight wheels
Long tube headers
2-peice brake rotors all around
remove back seats
Doing the above alone will save over 100lbs.
I know the older GT500 can do that too, but the 5.8 already comes with a carbon DS and 6 piston front brakes. They are coming down in price quite nicely.

I've pushed three 5.8 cars off the highway (windowed block) that had light bolt-ons, so I bought a tried and true 5.4. If planning on only doing basic mods, go 5.4. If doing a full build, including the motor, the 5.8 will outshine the 5.4

if youre happy with the stock power level of 13/14 (or minor bolt ons) then id go that route. they come with a lot of nice upgrades. suspension, brakes, cooling, etc...

but if you want to mod it for more power than that (like many here do), then id prob go 5.4.

unless you have deep pockets, then do as you please lol.
