1/8mph vs 1/4mph on 03 cobras??

Has anyone noticed questionably low 1/8 trap speeds versus their high 1/4 mile trap speeds?? I've noticed on other mustangs, fbodys, z06's etc. They trap better in the 1/8 when they trap as high as I do in the 1/4.. When my car ran 117mph traps in the 1/4 it was trapping just under 93mph in the 1/8.. Now that my car has gone 119.8 it traps 94.23 in the 1/8.. I have friends wtih z06's that trap as high as me or higher in the 1/8 but only trap 115-116 in the 1/4.. Whats the deal?? Anybody else notice this? I guess its partially due to being on street tires and coming out of the hole off idle.. So there is some bogging in the beginning of the run but still, its such a big difference:shrug: Do most 03's pick up 25-26mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4??

the z06 is lighter and easier to get moving unlike the cobra that weighs 500lbs more and comes alive one you get it up to speed.

It's called your car is a freak. Dave's Cobra is the fastest Cobra I have seen to date. Easy low 11 second car with D/Rs. No doubt in my mind. We have run numerous times and it is a BEAST!

Id say 21-23 is pretty tipical for 18th to 1/4 mph increase. 25 is exceptional! Chalk me up in the exceptional category! Love to pat myself on the back. lol, can't wait to see what happens at sea level.

on my 122.54 mph run , i was doing 95.59 in the 1/8th. i put on 27 mph from 1/8th - 1/4.

With my LS1 i usually gain 24-25mph between the 1/8th and the 1/4mile. I get around 89-90mph in the 1/8th and 113-114mph in the 1/4mile. I guess ur gaining 26-27mph because the 03 Cobra is heavy to get it moving off the line, but with the increasing speed ur weight doesnt affect ur car as much as taking off the line.
