You guys find it hard to believe a stock GT can run low 14's?

When I only had Nitto drag radials I pulled 3 back to back 13.9's @ 99 MPH.

But I did try a couple runs without the nittos and could only manage 14.1's @ 98 MPH.

Find the right shift points and give her hell.

With 4.10's, MAC o/r h-pipe, K&N, Steeda pullies, & Steeda T/A I pulled consistant 13.6's @ 102-103 MPH.

I've seen them run here anywhere from 14.3's - 14.8's and thats at 1200 ft elevation. I don't see why they wouldnt be able to hit 14.1's with a good launch and nice conditions.

Low 14's are easy to hit in a 5-speed GT... My buddies 00 runs 14.0@100 stock.

I seen a guy at the track with cold air kit and flowmaster mufflers and 3.73 gears nittos drag radials run 13.6 at 102 mph.So I would say a stock mustang gt could run low 14"s no problem.(Remember it's all about who can drive) the best.

maybe we have something in the water out here in cali. or maybe it's n20 or the tires. no b/s i've been dialing in at 13.3 and busted off a 13.1 after a red light start. infineon raceway always has a head wind and the run off is up hill. :bash: :burnout: :burnout:

Norwalk is like the fastest track in the country IIRC; it's maintained flawlessly and you can always get good launches

In 90 degree weather with my 2001 GT auto I pulled off a 14.7 that was all stock and it was hot and humid as hell.

Yes, I agree with phatsvt, my bros 99gt auto did a 14.0 something 98 mph with bfg drs. and a k&n. Stock gears and at kcir a really bad track imho. I'm sure phatsvt ran there too. So it can be done imho.

I have a 2002 GT with flows and cutouts, k&n, removed air silencer and mass air screen. It is an auto on top of that. Plus my audio system in the trunk weighs about 60lbs and i still have the spair in it. My buddy and I were both in it with a combined weight of 350 lbs. My car ran a 2.2 sixty ft. and a 14.1 @ 100.2 So yes it can be done.

Is anybody else confused by the guy with the celica that claims 13.7's? I know for a fact those things are slow pieces of shit, so go ahead and enlighten us as to how you knocked 2+ seconds off with a cold air intake and drag radials.

i just ran a 13.34 with a 1.8 60 foot time tonight. with a good driver high 13's should be no problem.
