what speed did you guys roll from?
and what mods does your friend have?

i had a similiar expirence with a Gixxer 600
but i think we were going form a bit faster roll then you guys did

I'm not exactly sure the speed, my eyes were glued to the road :)
I'm guessing around 60mph ish....

Good run and very surprising since the 05 R6 has been run on the track at 9.90's. 10's on that bike are the norm...but the R6's are no joke with their high 9 sec. passes.

No way a R6 runs 9.90's, More like high 10's low 11's with the average driver!!! You must be thinking of an R1 or GSXR 1000. Did Anthony get a new tune? I though he was putting out a little less power then what was shown on the video

Yea he just got dynoed few weeks back and changed some things....

I forgot which issue but Sport Rider magazine did have a stock R6 going 9.96 consistent.

Yeah, Cycle World got Ricky Gadson to run a slightly modded, and lowered new R6 to run a 9.9x @ 130. The ZX6R ran a 10.0. No way your avg rider on the street will ever duplicate that, especially without the suspension pulled down like in the article.

I know man, bikes are extremely hard to launch. I will tell you though, I'm gonna try like hell, lol. :pepper: :thumbsup: :lol:

The guy on the R6 needs to shift quicker. Is sounds like he is using the clutch....

Thats me, when you say using the clutch, do you mean the clutch lever?

I only use the clutch pedal at the foot, let off the gas and tap it into gear real quick. I could use some pointers...Thanks

Its in Cycle World May 2005 ... rear suspension and front end dropped 4 inches (front end tie down strap and aluminum lowering link.. on page 48) each Kawasaki ran 10.03 @ 135 and the R6 ran 9.98 @ 134.90 (These runs were made by Ricky Gadson)... in totally stock form the 600 were as follows ...

Kawasaki ZX6R ...........10.341 @ 132.49 ... for $8599.00
Honda CBR600RR .........10.426 @ 129.75 ... for $8999.00
Suzuki GSXR600 ..........10.396 @ 128.89 ... for $8299.00
Yamaha YZFR6 ...........10.515 @130.74 ... for $8399.00
Triumph Daytona 650 ... 10.603 @ 127.91 .. for $7999.00

now that is some serious bang for the buck!

I'd just like to dedicate fubu's video to all those jackasses who always talk about r6's like they're untouchable.....that cobra probably runs 120-122 in the 1/4. Some guys just seem to always be constatly doubting any car that hangs with a bike (StopSign). I see there's already some of those doubting this....as well as those who doubt the vid of a heffner tt viper beating a 275 hp turbo busa. A big FU to you all. :p
