In my research, there appear to be two types. One type that has the plastic backbone with foam and one where there is no plastic backbone or foam (the mounting tabs are moulded into the pillar as one piece). Mine is a two- piece design as seen in the pictures. Also, this looks to be cast in 2003, with 03 imprinted into the pillar. I compared another sos pod I have and find that they are identical (same year cast and same construction w/ the same plastic backbone and foam). Because this has the plastic backbone, my thoughts are that it’s the thicker design, most likely the later pillars found on the 03-04 Cobra. You’ll have to decide whether this one suits your needs. I don’t know of any other variances other than the much thicker convertible only a- pillar. Hope that helps.
