The rotors and calipers are all AP racing parts but Neil made up the rotor hats and caliper mounts himself.I can get you the part numbers for the AP parts if you like , but you would have to have someone fabricate and machine the hats and brackets. They also have a trick rear brake setup and still run the factory abs.

Tim

Tim,

I would like that very much. Please PM me, and I'll give you my e-mail add.

On the original 5.4 00R 1 3/4 inch headers I built the increase 45hp with no tune change.About a weeks labour ,$1000.00 stainless bends plus collectors ie burns stainless etc So no not cheep but well worth it.

I can't seem to snag the other pictures but they are there.

How is your race season going down there? We'd all love to hear race results if you have the time!
Some race results= 2002 taupo 3 hour 3rd ,pukekohe 6 hr 4th,2003 taupo 3hr 1st ,pukekohe 6hr 5th,5 day tamac targa 2nd in class 8th overall, 2004 taupo 3hr 1st ,pukekohe 6hr DNF broken rear toe rod, New endurance season starts in may ,but should be testing and doing some club meet in a few weeks, our local track is 5 miles away, so testing is easy and freefor us.

45 HP is a nice gain!

if there's enough interest here so we could get a decent price, I'm in!

Take note these headers I built only fit with the KB crossmember and coil-overs
Neil

Sounds like this may be my next year's Winter project. Where did you get the flange/s for the head? One single or four individual (per side)?

Thanks,

Bruce

Every part, ie flanges, blend pipes, merge collectors, megaphones are hand fabricated, stainless, steel headers are lots cheeper,If I added my labour they would owe me about $4000.00for the 2 inch set

careful now bruce, you do many more changes we may not recognize your car as an r (course if you do to much, you may have to paint the car a soft butter color) :poke:

2 inch 00R headers just built Have pic ,how do I attach them

This sounds like you built two sets of headers? One set 1-3/4" and one 2"?
If so, how much difference in power is there between the two sets? Seems like that 2" set would take up lots of room? Did you make the runners all equal length?

Let me see if I have this right? You fabbed these up with pipe components (pipe, bends and collectors) from Burns Stainless and had to fab your own head flanges?

Looks good!!! Do you have any idea the man hours you have in the set?

Thanks,

Bruce

Jeez...I'm having second thoughts about buying a 00R to race.
Looks like it'll cost me close to $10K in mods. :mj: :mj:

GT-1 is looking cheaper compared to running an R. :cryying: :cryying: :cryying:

Somebody should be able to find someone and get a group discount on having headers fabbed up.

John:

The '00 "R" is a most awesome car in stock form. I went two seasons in pretty much stock form. Year one, I did SFC's and an exhaust system and year two I did Delrin IRS bushings on the stock suspension and a Pro 5.0 shifter.

If you have never driven an "R" I'll let you take "Gwen" for a spin sometime?

 :coolman:

Um, excuse me?!?! :read: The tires and rear brakes were in perfect condition BEFORE you had to prove to Dean you could spank him like a redheaded stepchild when he was driving Ken's car.

The 1 3/4 set is for the 00R 5.4, the 2 in set is for our 6.0 alloy motor, have not done a back to back,Both sets of these headers are all hand made inc collectors, For you guys its probably more cost effective to use burns parts as there is about 3 weeks work in the 2 in and yes it is a extremly tight fit.the 2 in is more than likely to large for the std 5.4 00R
