Maybe a build to follow for those times you are bored. This video is just the engine going through initial tuning on dyno. Engine is a thing of beauty being dropped into the Nova.
Plated drag and drive car for all of the drag weeks
Steve Morris LS inspired motor similar to his SMX engine series...
No NASCAR restrictions so this car is just going to be faster. Jensen Button and Jimmy Johnson to be drivers. Car will run in the experimental class. I wonder performance wise what the closest class will be. Looks like the French are not use to an American V8.
ZL1 practicing at LeMans
Boring video other than that rear end that looks expensive. Scary costs there. It did get me wondering. If you had one of his 4500hp capable SMX engines what would you run it in and at what power level ? I think I'd like a 70 Chevelle. Street legal trim and 2000 hp at the track. Should run...
When a modified electric vehicle wins any of the drag and drive events I'll then consider ICE defeated. As of now it looks like a climb. Mid 5.70's @260 is the marker. The do have one advantage for sure. They don't have to switch over to race electricity.
Interesting to see how these track numbers will compare to Houston Crosta's build. Steve Morris just posted some dyno videos. The motor is a 5.2 with an even fire 5.0 crank. Sounds like an extra expense. I wonder if it is good for anything extra in comparison.
I would love to see what Tom Bailey could do at one of these events. Sick 1.0 and 2.0 are both plated. Heck as far as that goes any of the cars in the top class from any of the drag and drive events.
I have really lost the plot with terminology. Too old. If she backed up a 10.51 with a 10.52 is just the first run a glory run or both? She is annoying to the core. If Chevy insisted on a woman running the press car they should of given the Vette to Alex Taylor.
This is a couple days old now. Is there a story here or just a Z06 visiting a Ford facility to rev its engine. You know since that seems to be what the car is for.https://fordauthority.com/2022/09/ford-benchmarking-2023-chevy-corvette-z06-photos/
I'm one of those people you are talking about. I have been looking for the right 67 Chevy II and 70 GTO(childhood family cars). Not interested in anything new but won't pay what those two cars are getting either.
Initial coverage of a new billet LS replacement engine. Most will find it boring and no final product yet. Do not click on this video. For those that do would this be considered an 11/10ths effort in a street engine to you?
