Dude just picked up the P-51 Roush yesterday and the smack talking started right away. I'm not a big fan of the new body style, but I have to say the green accents on silver is nice... so is the plate in the engine compartment with 510hp/510torque. Weight is somewhere around 4400lbs... fat...
Thought I'd ask the 96-98 guys for help since my car shares some of the same blood. I posted the background in the new edge because of my 2001 4V engine. What's up with my fuel pump not supplying fuel pressure and allowing me to crank the car over? No blown pump fuse or popped inertia...
OK, car is a 96 GT with an 01 cobra 4V. Daily driver with minimal road course and quarter mile time. Been a great, dependable ride since I put the engine in around 2002. About a week ago I noticed the car holding back and really falling on it's face when I would accelerate to WOT. It began...
I had my exhaust off a week or two ago while working on my IRS and got mixed up with my H-pipe O2 sensors. My harness was hanging down and the sensors were mixed up. Someone please take a peak under your car and tell me which color goes on each side. Thanks!:loser:
Well,
It's time to move and I need to ship my 96. Problem is that car transporters need a minimum of 4" ground clearance to get a vehicle on and off the semi trucks. I have approx 2.5" due to my H&R springs.
Any suggestions on how to do this? I was thinking one of the following...
1)...
OK, just installed an 04 IRS with Bruce's bushing kit and it handles like a damn porsche in the rear. That said, I've got a serious problem when putting a load to the rear when moving quickly from a stop or accelerating quickly in 1st or 2nd from a coast. It's as if the car is vibrating from...
Just pulled it out of my 96 GT this past weekend. It has 4.10s (no whine), maximum motorsport subframe bushings. No shocks or rear brakes, but I have 04 cobra coupe springs to go with it. IRS had 21K miles before I installed it 2 yrs ago and I put approx 15K on it. No drag strip time or wheel...
Looking for the tool to remove the Lower Control Arm bushings and inner sleeves. Can someone rent it to me or hook a brother up?;-) I'll order it from M&M Monday if no one comes across this thread.
Thanks!!!
Ok, I've got the IRS out in the garage and have removed the upper CA's. I've done the subframe bushings on an earlier IRS, but these stock upper CA bushings have me stumped. How do I get em out? Do I just saw through one side of the bushing? I bet the lowers are going to be even worse...
UPDATE : JB WELD did not work, so I took the diff out, removed cover, nd filed down the bolt a bit in order to prep for a left handed drill bit soon. Ugly pics have been removed and a better one is up. END OF UPDATE 18 Jan 07
Well, it's funny how you we can get through the serious...
Pulling it out mid to late Jan. just wanted to give folks a heads up if you're in the market for it. I'll be looking for around $400-500 or so for it, but best offer takes it. It currently has an 03/04 flange on it, but I believe I still have the 99/01 flange too somewhere. Oh yeah, it...
Hey all,
It's been a trouble free past 5 months or so, but the car went dead 2 weeks ago. I replaced the battery figuring it was fairly old (5 yrs). The new battery went dead... after the car sat for like 4 days. I pulled out my current meter and isolated a 100mA draw from the high fuse...
Had it on the car for about 2 weeks. It is in great shape and I was careful not to scratch the black paint during install and removal. Looking to get $190 shipped since it's practically brand new. It will be shipped in original box with the instructions.
Paypal works best for me. Here it...
OK, car HAD a standard calibrated Pro-M for 24lb injectors and NO JLT when it went on the dyno last month. It had decent power pulls and the tuner said the A/F was real clean through the RPM range, just slightly rich. We left well enough alone and didn't mess with what wasn't broke. I...
I bounce back and forth between the new edge and sn95 section, but figured I'd atleast post the link for the sn95 guys (the better looking cars :-D ) since my stang has both DNA...

Well, without going into too much detail on my ride... it's a 96GT convertible with a 2001 cobra engine, 1999 cobra IRS, 2003 cobra T-56. Computer and wiring harness are both 1996 GT (car has coil packs). Stock GT return fuel system (stock), Pro-M 80mm mass air calibrated for 24lb injectors...
