    Problem solved. It was the pad thickness. Solid rotors use the thicker pad and vented rotors use the thinner pad.

    The pads I bought showed for SVT Cobra at the parts store on the computer. I didn't realize the GT pads are thicker either though.

    I am attempting to change my pads and rotors on my 03 terminator. I have wound the piston in as far as I think it will go. I have changed the rotor to a Baer rotor with stock calipers. The new pads seem to thick to get the caliper on. The old rotors which I assume are original on the car...
