Tomshep, yes the car is stock. Man that’s awesome you didn’t have the issue I did. I wonder why i didn’t have a similar experience to you then?
biminiLX, I haven’t removed the blanket but I did purchased a used gt500 hood for $150 and plan to use that one to cut up. But I could remove the...
Dang I should have specified the type of track I attend. It was a road course doing road racing reason why I was looking into vents.
I could understand for dragstrip the need for upgrade. That Ice tank doesn’t seem like a bad idea. I had something similar on a dsm but that car was more for...
I do not. I read somewhere a while ago the 13-14 had a pretty good size and there not much difference in the aftermarket for them? I could be wrong it’s been a while where I got the source of info. I’ll look into it again.
I was thinking something similar to this GT500 only instead of using...
Found a GT500 hood with cf vent for $200 figures I butch that hood up with vents and see if it’s progress. Yes my friend has it on his boss 302, I wonder if it would fit due to the s/c.
Anyone tried adding hood vents for cooler engine temps?
I experienced limp mode at a local track recently. Though the weather temps didn’t help the already hot engine yee it was HOT.
Now looking into Race louvers for the GT500. Not going to butcher my OEM hood so I plan on buying another hood...
sweet appreciate that info!! Yes i saw they make the offset you want so that amazing they can do that and probably one of the many reasons why it cost some $$
nice how do you like the XP12(r12 equivalent) pads? The shelby is not my primary car so as far as brake pads, I am just going for...
Well that’s why I’m asking around and looking at wheels. Appreciate you chiming in, would you happen to have pictures of the forgedline’s you had on the GT500’s also the offset you used?
That looks good I was looking at forgedline GA1R open lug but that’s a good chunk of cheddar. I like that style might have to add some front camber to tuck the wheel in enough to be useful for the track as well not trying to put useless camber lol
Very true about the stock wheels though they look great pita to clean. Going to look into those wheels I appreciate all the insight can’t believe there’s not a lot of options of wheels that look great for these car as it is for m3’s and other cars!
Dead on appreciate the Info. Just purchased some lowering springs (ford performance) due to have same spring rate. Definitely need the wider tire up front as it gets tail happy very fast. Wish I could do a square set up but definitely needs meaty tires in the rear. Stock power and it still gets...
Anyone here tried G-loc brake pads? Considering them just need something that bites and won’t fade with road racing, our snakes are pretty heavy to what I’m use to. Also getting the two piece rotors for the front.
Been looking on the forums for a good offset on wheels on these s197’s id like to...
Sounds like you had it all planned out. Still pretty new to this chassis. Had evos, M’s and other Sportscars but one thing down the line I do plan on getting some ap racing brake kit had my old Brembo burn out on my old evo before going Stoptech. That’s further down right now just taking it one...
Hope everyone is doing well sorry for the long delay took off to some training days after posting recently got back and we’ll here are a few pics of when I picked it up and drove it back home to WA.
Hey folks,
recently purchased my first V8 American muscle. Reasons behind it, driven all kinds of cars from fwd awd to rwd and I’m no professional by all means but ever since my buddy lend me his boss 302 I started to like these pony cars. I’m into road racing and honestly this shelby can...
